The other thing
that happened was that one of my favorite residents recently spent two weeks in
the hospital. She has been back at the home for a couple of weeks but has
refused to leave her room because she is now confined to a wheel chair. When we
arrived I asked about her and was told that she would not come out. I asked one
of the staff if they would just go tell her that Gage was there to see her. By
golly, it wasn't long and there she came wheeling herself out to the group. I
was thrilled and so was the staff. What a blessing this little spotted dog is to
so many.

My Heart is Blessed
Gage and I had pet therapy at the home this morning. It is always such a
blessing to share this sweet dog with others. Today was a very special blessing.
The woman in this picture is a new resident and she is blind. When she was
brought to the area where we do our visits, I was told that she was unsure about
coming because she would not be able to see what was going on. Unsolicited by
anyone Gage gently climbed up on the couch next to her and wiggled his butt
right into her. As she petted and felt him all over, I described to her what he
looked like. She then said, " today I saw and what I see is a magnificent
animal". How blessed my heart was by that.
